About The Role 🤔:

As the Engineering Manager for our Player Experience team, you will lead the high-impact squad responsible for building play.immutable.com, the front door to Immutable.

This team is dedicated to redefining how players discover, onboard, and engage with Web3 games. You will guide a cross-functional team that includes a Tech Lead, six engineers, a Staff Designer, a Product Manager, and an embedded Data Scientist. Your team will focus on rapid iteration, scaling player acquisition tools, and delivering a world-class product that helps players find games they love and inspires them to sign up and return.

We are seeking a thoughtful and driven technical leader who thrives in fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about building empowered teams and is excited to shape the future of gaming and digital asset ownership.

Responsibilities

You'll Be Empowered To 🎮

  • Lead and develop the Player Experience engineering team, guiding them to experiment and ship high-impact features
  • Drive the technical evolution of our discovery Feed and onboarding systems to boost player acquisition and activation
  • Establish best practices for delivery, ensuring high-quality execution of the product roadmap
  • Partner with your cross-functional counterparts in Product, Design, and Data to define strategy and deliver outstanding user outcomes
  • Collaborate with the Rewards, Quest, and Trading teams to create a cohesive, seamless, end-to-end player journey
  • Foster a culture of high performance, autonomy, and accountability, enabling the team to iterate and learn quickly
  • Contribute to product strategy and help shape our engineering culture alongside your leadership triad and fellow Engineering Managers
  • Coach and grow engineers through consistent feedback, mentorship, and career development planning

Job requirements

We'd Love You To Bring 🤝

  • At least 2 years of experience managing high-performing software engineering teams, including performance reviews, coaching, and career development
  • A strong background in full-stack engineering, with hands-on experience building and scaling products using technologies like React, TypeScript, or Go
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup or scaleup environment.A builder's mindset with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, consumer-facing products
  • A deep commitment to team performance and the individual growth of your engineers
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations
  • A customer-centric approach and a passion for solving real user problems
