Job description

About the role (What you’ll be doing)

As our ERP Systems Manager (NetSuite), you’ll lead the systems development function for the business. Reporting to the Head of Systems, you’ll manage our NetSuite team and take ownership of our systems roadmap, delivery, and budget.

This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll scope and design solutions with Finance, run project management for systems initiatives end-to-end, and jump in for minor technical work when needed. You’ll also oversee integration health across our NetSuite ecosystem, ensuring our Celigo-driven integrations are stable, monitored, and operating with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the Systems roadmap. Define, prioritise, and deliver a roadmap that aligns with business goals, Finance priorities, and operational needs. Translate strategy into outcomes, with clear milestones, timelines, and stakeholder visibility.
  • Project scoping, solution design, and delivery leadership. Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to shape requirements, scope initiatives, and design pragmatic solutions. Lead delivery from discovery through build, testing, deployment, and adoption.
  • Primary project manager for systems work. Run planning and execution across all systems-related projects. Own project governance (scope, timelines, RAID, comms), manage trade-offs, and drive reliable delivery in a fast-moving environment.
  • People leadership and team development. Lead and develop a high-performing NetSuite team. Set clear expectations, coach performance, build capability, and create a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • NetSuite platform ownership (OneWorld). Own the health and evolution of our NetSuite OneWorld configuration across subsidiaries. Drive strong controls, change management, release discipline, and documentation to ensure the platform remains scalable and audit-ready.
  • Minor technical contribution when needed. Be comfortable performing light hands-on work (e.g., reviewing solutions, supporting configuration decisions, troubleshooting issues, approving scripts/changes, validating data flows, or making small adjustments). This is not a primarily hands-on build role, but technical credibility matters.
  • Integration oversight and reliability. Oversee our integration landscape (via Celigo and related tools), working closely with integrations engineers to ensure integrations are healthy, monitored, and resilient. Establish standards for uptime, alerting, incident response, and root-cause prevention to minimise downtime and business disruption.
  • Own the Systems budget and vendor management. Manage the systems budget (licenses, tools, partners, contractors), forecast spend, and make cost-effective decisions. Oversee relationships with external partners/vendors to ensure value, quality, and accountability.
  • Stakeholder partnership with Finance. Act as a trusted partner to the finance function: help shape process improvements, ensure systems support accurate reporting and close, and build solutions that make teams more efficient.
  • Operational excellence and governance. Establish and maintain clear ways of working: release planning, testing practices, environment management, documentation standards, access controls, and change approval processes.

Job requirements

Skills & experience

  • 6+ years of experience in ERP / Business Systems, with significant NetSuite experience in a live, multi-entity environment (NetSuite OneWorld experience strongly preferred)
  • Proven people leadership experience, ideally managing developers and administrators, with a track record of building high-performance, accountable teams
  • Strong project leadership skills: you’ve scoped and delivered cross-functional systems projects end-to-end, and you’re comfortable owning timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication
  • Strong solution design capability: you can translate business requirements into practical system designs, balancing speed, scalability, and control
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite capabilities (workflows, roles/permissions, saved searches/reporting, approvals, and common finance processes); familiarity with SuiteScript and integrations is a plus even if you’re not hands-on daily
  • Experience overseeing integrations in production (ideally Celigo, but similar iPaaS/middleware experience is valuable), including monitoring, incident response, and reliability improvements
  • High ownership and strong judgment: you know when to go deep, when to delegate, and how to drive outcomes without compromising quality
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in partnership with Finance (e.g., controllers, FP&A, AP/AR leaders)
  • NetSuite certifications are a strong advantage (e.g., SuiteFoundation, Administrator, ERP Consultant), but not required if you demonstrate equivalent expertise
