Job description

We’re seeking a highly strategic and forward-thinking Head of Finance to join our executive team and help steer Go1 through a pivotal scale-up phase. This global leadership role will own financial strategy and execution across accounting, revenue operations, and corporate finance in Australia, the United States, and Europe. As a key partner to the CEO and leadership team, this individual will play a critical role in shaping our financial future—driving operational rigor, enabling smart growth, and ensuring we scale with strength and sustainability.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for this role include a demonstrated ability to:

  • Co-develop key strategies in partnership with the CEO and executive leaders in support of driving operational efficiencies and improvements to continue to fuel profitable revenue growth through effective cost management and revenue optimization initiatives.
  • Oversee our financial operating system (including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, processes, frameworks, and tools) that will foster effective, scalable, and intelligent growth. Help make capital allocation decisions that fuel the company’s growth and bolster the path to profitability.
  • Oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting as well as systems.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with accounting standards and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Partner with the CEO, C-suite, and Board, providing leadership and strategic financial insight and shape the future strategic profile of Go1.
  • Provide overall leadership and mentorship across the organization, maintaining a positive, dynamic and fun environment where the team is engaged, challenged to succeed, and rewarded appropriately.
  • Continue to foster a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior within the finance organization and company as a whole.

Job requirements

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
    • MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • Proven success as a Senior Finance leader or Controller in a highly successful, high growth SaaS / software company at scale. Deep understanding of SaaS business models, metrics, and revenue recognition.
  • Experience with private company equity compensation plans and administration.
  • Knowledge of International tax and transfer pricing concepts
  • Expert knowledge of GAAP (Australian, US) and IFRS
  • Ability to establish key reporting metrics across the organization and effectively develop strategies to execute against achieving these goals.
  • Strong grasp of strategic planning and goal setting, including but not limited to capital allocation.  
  • Technologically savvy and data focused; understands and embraces the power of data to identify trends to inform decisions and drive innovation.
  • Systems proficiency: Netsuite, Tipalti, Salesforce, Vertex, Asana, Qobra, Expensify and Navan.  
  • Track record of evangelizing a company culture shift while empowering management and retaining top talent.
