💻About the role

You’ll join Amber’s IT Operations team, sitting at the intersection of our People Operations and Product Technology teams ensuring our staff are productive, secure, and supported in doing their best work.

You’ll split your time between enabling and unblocking colleagues to do their best work, and implementing strategic projects to help IT scale and work effectively. This is a unique opportunity at a fast-growing start up to help us scale up the tools, technology, and processes that enable our staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a high quality hybrid/remote employee experience through the provisioning and maintenance of AV and other related meeting room tech
  • Coordinate processes for device management and our staff asset lifecycle
  • Administer the full lifecycle of our Okta IDP and SSO for seamless and secure employee onboarding, offboarding, and evolving access needs in line with Amber’s security policies
  • Participate our internal help desk to provide quick and effective assistance with information technology systems
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing IT processes and systems, tailoring practical and scalable solutions to Amber’s evolving needs
  • Maintain and optimise local company networks
  • Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of IT service related hardware and software
  • Implement and champion a modern, decentralised IT approach that empowers teams while maintaining security standards
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, adaptable, staff-first environment that prioritises unblocking teams and enabling velocity

Job requirements

🎯 Key Requirements

  • Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis
  • Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing
  • Excellent written, verbal and in-person communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Past commercial work experience in a help desk or other front-line technical troubleshooting role and/or relevant tertiary qualification such at a Diploma (or higher) level of Information Technology, Business Information Systems, etc
