About the Role

As a People & Culture Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our people, leaders, and People & Culture (P&C) Business Partners to drive a high-performing, engaged, and thriving team culture. No two days are the same – you’ll be the go-to advisor for Team Leaders, a key player in employee engagement initiatives, and a champion for HR best practices that make ROLLER an amazing place to work.

This is a hybrid role, requiring regular presence in our Melbourne office to support our growing Melbourne-based team.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Be a Trusted Advisor: Provide first-line HR guidance to Team Leaders and managers across performance management, engagement, and development.
  • Partner with Purpose: Collaborate with the P&C BP to align HR programs with business goals and build leadership capability across the business.
  • Champion Employee Relations: Support employee relations cases with sound advice and documentation, promoting a fair and positive workplace.
  • Drive Performance & Development: Help run performance reviews, analyse trends, and identify development opportunities and succession planning insights.
  • Support Change & Growth: Assist with organisational change, including restructures and culture-building initiatives, ensuring people are informed and engaged.
  • Ensure Compliance & Minimise Risk: Maintain up-to-date policies in line with Australian employment law and company standards.
  • Deliver Data-Driven Insights: Collect, analyse, and report on people metrics to help shape strategic HR decisions.

Job requirements

About You

  • You’ve got hands-on HR generalist experience, ideally in a fast-paced, global or scaling tech environment.
  • You’re confident advising leaders on people matters and coaching them through performance and development conversations.
  • You understand Australian employment law and can navigate sensitive employee relations issues with empathy and discretion.
  • You’re a clear communicator, organised, and action-oriented – someone who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic team.
  • You genuinely care about creating great experiences for employees and believe in the power of culture to drive business success.
