Based in North Sydney with a flexible hybrid setup, this is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to shape the future of a scaling FinTech SaaS business.

You’ll report to the VP of Finance & Operations and take full ownership of everything from AP/AR and financial reporting to audits, revenue recognition, tax, payroll, and risk. We're after someone who’s not afraid to get in the weeds, spot opportunities for process improvement, and drive end-to-end finance projects that enable scale and clarity as we grow.

What success looks like in this role

You’ll be responsible for building a world-class finance function that keeps pace with our growth and sets the standard for operational excellence. Success looks like:

  • 7-Day Global Close: Timely and accurate month-end across global entities
  • Board & Investor Reporting: Clear, consolidated insights with SaaS KPIs and variance analysis
  • Audit-Ready Financials: Unqualified audits and full statutory compliance across jurisdictions
  • Contracts: Clean application of IFRS 15 / ASC 606 across complex SaaS contracts, ensuring accurate and timely customer invoicing.
  • Payables & Expense Management: Timely management and payment of vendors and employee expenses.
  • Accounts Receivable: Maintain clean book of receivables and credit control.
  • Transfer Pricing & GST Compliance: Accurate intercompany accounting and tax compliance
  • Payroll Compliance & Coordination: Seamless payroll delivery in AU and US, in partnership with P&C
  • Cash & FX Reporting: Real-time cash forecasting and visibility on FX exposure
  • Tax Management: Timely and accurate filings with support from external tax partners
  • Insurance Program: Comprehensive and up-to-date coverage across key risk areas
  • M&A Support: Accurate accounting and integration of acquisitions
  • Cap Table Management: Clean records and accurate accounting of equity grants
  • Finance Stack Integration: Smooth data flow across ERP, CRM, AP, and HR systems
  • Team Leadership: A motivated, high-performing internal and outsourced finance team
