About the role

The Senior P&C Business Partner is a strategic partner to the senior leadership team, responsible for developing and executing People & Culture (P&C) strategies that align with and drive business objectives across our global operations in Australia, the US, and the UK. This role provides expert advice and support on a wide range of HR matters for the sales team and engineering team at Advanced Navigation.

The role will play a crucial part in fostering a positive and productive work environment that reflects Advanced Navigation's mission and values. The position acts as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters to drive a high-performance culture and ensure our people strategies enable the autonomy revolution.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

Strategic Partnership & Planning

  • Partner with and influence senior business leaders in Sales and Engineering teams to develop and implement P&C plans that support the strategic goals of their functions.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable P&C initiatives, including organisational design, change management, and cultural development.
  • Act as a key contributor to the global P&C strategy, providing insights on business needs and local market realities in Australia, the US, and the UK.
  • Support global expansion for the sales/go-to-market team, working closely with leaders to embed strategies focused on increasing productivity and expediting the ramp-up of new sellers.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Support the annual compensation review cycle for client groups, including salary, bonus, and ensuring alignment with the company's pay-for-performance philosophy.

Talent Management, Learning & Development

  • Drive key talent management processes within the business, including performance reviews, succession planning, and talent identification.
  • Partner with leaders to identify critical skill gaps and develop strategies to address them through targeted learning and development initiatives.
  • Facilitate talent calibration sessions and support the creation of individual development plans for high-potential employees.

Employee Relations, Policy & Compliance

  • Provide guidance and support on a variety of employee relations issues.
  • Ensure the consistent application of P&C policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and best practices to ensure compliance.

Job requirements

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • A Master's degree or relevant postgraduate certification is highly desirable
  • 7+ years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Proven experience in being an active and contributing member of functional leadership teams, specifically with experience on sales leadership teams and engineering leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting global teams across multiple regions (including APAC, EMEA, and the US) is an asset.
  • Proven experience in compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
  • Demonstrates solid judgment and experience in assessing risk relative to the business.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology or engineering environment is highly desirable.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into actionable P&C solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong track record of building and fostering a cohesive culture across diverse regions, ensuring employees located outside of the Australian head office receive appropriate support and maintain strong relationships.
