As a Data Analyst you’ll play a key role in accelerating our global growth. Located in Australia, you’ll help shape the future of our analytics landscape, introduce new approaches, and enable our GTM, Customer, Product, Content and Finance leadership to make the right decisions on behalf of our global customers. Your outcomes are designed for decision velocity.

Responsibilities

What does a Data Analyst do every day at Go1?

  • You will closely collaborate with our GTM, Customer, Product, Content and Finance teams to understand their challenges, questions, and use data to consult on the best course of action
  • You’re an innovator aiming to generate impact in the field of analytics by applying state-of-the-art data solutions to business challenges. You’ll identify and automate opportunities to simplify your workflow. And your curiosity in AI and automation will drive simplification in how our teams access insights
  • Your aptitude to understand and navigate marketing, sales and retention funnels will enable better decision-making and increase the effectiveness of our teams
  • Your ability to understand customer behaviour, trends, and patterns allows you to influence product roadmaps and content acquisition decisions
  • Your models, dashboards, reports are your products. You measure engagement and impact, improve usability and literacy. And iterate with feedback - both to maintain trust in quality as well as enrichment, and drive uptake. Products with low engagement are retired.
  • As part of the Data Intelligence Team (3 other DA’s, 4 DE’s and 2 DS’s), you’re an advocate for a test & learn culture and encourage our stakeholders to take trade-offs and make meaningful bets to deliver incrementally, and help us to succeed in the long run

Job requirements

About you

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the fields of Analytics or Data Science
  • Your solid abilities to handle big data with SQL and Python / R, and use of DBT allow you to translate data into actionable insights quickly, you’re comfortable making trade-offs and executing pragmatically
  • You have a good business understanding (specifically of B2B business models). You spot opportunities for improvement across various business functions
  • You’re at ease in fast paced environments that contain ambiguity, you can operate effectively with gaps in context, make assumptions, and still create impact
  • You have a track record of delivering impact through systematic and scalable data products, applying a commercial mindset to your outcomes\
  • You have a very good understanding of either B2B sales funnels or content engagement which allows you to be a precious sparring partner to our business stakeholders
  • You love to learn and develop yourself. You bring a passion to learn which allows you to flourish in a startup environment aiming to leverage state-of-the-art tools and processes to fulfil our vision
  • You have knowledge in concepts of experimental design, hypothesis testing, sampling, power analyses and A/B testing
  • You have strong writing skills that allow you to synthesise complex context into concise, actionable text for non-technical audience
  • You’re an absolute team player who likes to collaborate with your peers and business stakeholders
  • You are willing to work across time zones and make flexible hours work for you and your stakeholders
