Job description

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity for a lawyer to step into a high-impact, hybrid role blending customer success, sales and legal product enablement (it’s a real-life MBA). Based in Melbourne, you’ll be working directly with prospective and current clients. From the first conversation through to long-term adoption and expansion. You’ll be part of a close-knit, commercially focused team working hand in hand with the founders to scale across ANZ and beyond.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Sales: Build trusted relationships by identifying and engaging new customers with your deep understanding of their due diligence workflows.
  • Customer Success: Own the customer relationship. From running tailored trials and onboarding sessions to guiding implementation and driving long-term adoption. Support customers and ensure they unlock the value of Deeligence.
  • Product: Surface insights, identify blockers to adoption, and help shape the product roadmap that our customers need.

Job requirements

Must-haves

  • Legal background: Have 3+ years’ experience in a top-tier corporate/M&A law firm or equivalent, with a deep understanding of the due diligence process and pain points.
  • Efficient excellence: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, not afraid of hard work, meticulous (just like our lawyers) and keen to make a positive impact. Highly organised, self-directed and reliable – you follow through, communicate clearly and take ownership.
  • Hungry to learn: You may not have done this exact role before but have transferable skills and are excited to learn by doing hard things. This is the role that transforms you from lawyer to a commercial gun.
  • Customer obsessed: Bring a strong client service mindset with high EQ and know how to nurture meaningful relationships and manage a portfolio of accounts. You can build credibility with senior stakeholders and guide them through change.

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience in legaltech, B2B SaaS or early-stage startups
  • Worked in a sales role
  • Built a side-hustle
  • Involved in implementing new tech or change management for legal teams
